Training sign-in
A real signature on every sign-in
Workers sign in with their name and a signature they draw with a finger or a mouse, on their own phone, on the conductor’s device, or on a shared tablet at the jobsite.
- Name
- Typed, or picked from the crew list
- Signature
- Drawn with a finger or a mouse
- Signed at
- Date and time
- Device
- The phone, tablet or computer used to sign
- Signed on
- The worker’s phone, the conductor’s device, or a kiosk tablet
- Photo
- Kiosk only, when photos are on (the default)
Workers who can’t use the pad, for example with a screen reader, can type their signature instead; the record says which way they signed.
Kiosk mode for a shared tablet
A manager starts kiosk mode for one meeting. The tablet shows a locked, full-screen sign-in page with no menu and no way into the rest of the app; leaving it takes the exit PIN the manager chose, and it closes on its own after 12 hours. Each worker taps their name and signs.
Photos are on unless your company turns them off: the tablet takes one photo of each worker at signing, after a notice on screen, and anyone can sign without one. Photos are seen only by company admins, safety managers and your assigned consultant, and are deleted automatically after the period your company sets: 90 days, 180 days, 1 year (the default) or 2 years.
Talks in your crew’s languages
Beyond English and Spanish, a company can add the languages its crews speak. The talk, its quiz and the worker’s sign-in page can then be shown in that language; the rest of the app stays in English and Spanish.
- EnglishEnglish
- EspañolSpanish
- 简体中文Chinese (Simplified)
- 繁體中文Chinese (Traditional)
- Tiếng ViệtVietnamese
- TagalogTagalog
- 한국어Korean
Talks in the added languages are machine-translated from the English talk and labelled that way on screen. The English version governs.
OSHA recordkeeping
Keep your OSHA injury logs next to your training records
Your OSHA 300 log, 300A summary and 301 incident reports, kept in the platform and built around 29 CFR 1904. Company admins and your assigned consultant can open them, and safety managers too if your company allows it; workers never can.
- 300Form 300Log of work-related injuries and illnesses
- 300AForm 300ASummary of the year, certified by an executive
- 301Form 301Incident report for each case
- Privacy cases protected
- A privacy case shows as “privacy case” on the log; the name is kept only on the confidential list, and opening that list is recorded.
- Certified with a signature
- At the end of the year, a company executive certifies the 300A summary with a drawn signature.
- Printable forms
- Print Forms 300, 300A and 301. California companies get them under the Cal/OSHA form names.
- Files ready for OSHA’s ITA
- Download your 300A and case data as files in the columns of OSHA’s Injury Tracking Application upload templates. You submit them to OSHA yourself.
- Upload your old logs
- Bring in past logs from a spreadsheet or a PDF. Scans can be read with AI. You review and confirm every row before anything is saved.
- Your rates next to your trade’s
- See your own injury rates from your logs next to what employers in your trade reported, with tailgate talks suggested for the hazards behind your cases.
Reporting reminders when a serious case is entered
8 hours
Federal OSHA: a work-related death (29 CFR 1904.39).
24 hours
Federal OSHA: an in-patient hospitalization, an amputation or the loss of an eye.
8 hours
California: a serious injury, illness or death, reported to Cal/OSHA (Title 8 § 342(a)).
Guidance to help you keep your records, not legal advice. My Safety Solution prepares your forms and files; it does not submit anything to OSHA for you. Check with your safety professional for your situation.
Hazard Profile
Your trade’s hazards, ranked from OSHA data, next to your schedule
The Hazard Profile ranks the top hazards for your trade from OSHA inspection and citation data, using your state’s own data where there is enough and the national pattern where there isn’t. It shows why each hazard is ranked and whether your schedule covers it.
What it shows
- Your trade’s hazards in rank order, with the citations, injuries and deaths behind each one
- Seasonal hazards, with their season, and the hazards covered every year by rule
- For each hazard: on your schedule (with the next dates), in your library but not scheduled, or no talk yet
New: what employers in your trade reported to OSHA
Where available for your trade, from the injury logs employers file with OSHA’s Injury Tracking Application, in your state or nationwide:
- Injury rates by year
- Cases by type: days away, job transfer or restriction, other
- How the injuries happened
- Kind of injury and part of the body
A sample, not all employers: only the employers required to file their injury logs with OSHA are included.
Your people
Cards, certifications and each worker’s own training
Certification and card tracking
Keep your company’s record of the outside training and cards each person holds, such as a forklift evaluation, a respirator fit test or an OSHA 10 or 30 card, or your own kinds: the issue date, when it expires, and who saw the original. The page shows at a glance what has expired or is coming due.
Statuses on the page
- Expired
- Expiring within 30 days
- Expiring within 60 days
- Original not seen
Status is shown on screen; there are no automatic reminders. My Safety Solution does not issue, certify or verify any card or certification: it is your company’s record.
A portal for every worker
Workers open their own portal from a sign-in link, with no password. It shows what they still need to sign, trainings a manager sent them, their own training history, and the trainings scheduled in the next 14 days.
What’s New, after you sign in
Admins, safety managers and consultants see a short What’s New notice after sign-in when there is something new: new features, updates to talks and announcements. It can be opened again from the account menu.
Projects and subcontractors
For general contractors: every sub on the project, in one view
Create a project, invite your subcontractors, and require the trainings and documents you need from them. You see each sub’s status on the project. Subs join that project free.
